Your Attar in Manhattan
I’m Moroccan. I live in New York. My kitchen has never belonged to one place.
Sookies Spice World was born from the way I cook: between countries, memories, cravings, and the quiet everyday magic of opening a jar and knowing exactly what to make.
During COVID, cooking for other people became my work. It grew into Persian Kitchen NYC — previously known as Felfel Kitchen — and that kitchen is where these blends were developed: catering, family meals, repeat dishes, and the kind of recipes that become trusted because people ask for them again.
In Morocco, the neighborhood spice merchant is called an attar — keeper of the spices, the recipes, and sometimes the medicine. That’s what I’m trying to be here.
The spices come first. The artwork makes the jar worth keeping. Everything else — the boxes, the ribbon, The Attar, the Gallery — exists because the blends earned it.
